Prior to library construction or submission it is best to have an initial consult with a TAGC representative to go over project requirements and how our services can meet your research needs.
MiSeq runs are performed by TAGC staff. However, users that require more than three runs for their project can contact TAGC and be trained to use the MiSeq. Training entails three sessions where the user: observes a setup, sets up with supervision, and sets up without staff intervention. Upon successful completion of training, the user will be capable to set up runs on their own. The Instrument Manual and TAGC Client Standard Operating Procedure will be provided to users upon training.
Samples are either submitted to TAGC as DNA/RNA for Illumina library construction or as completed Illumina libraries.
Once a library is completed, a MiSeq run can take anywhere from 4 to 56 hours and are performed three times per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Scheduling will be discussed with the user and will be assessed on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
To request library construction please contact TAGC.
